A few years ago one of Susan Thixton‘s dogs died of bone cancer. Her vet linked it to a chemical in his dog food. That chemical is still approved by the FDA. The TruthAboutPetFood.com author is trying to change that – for her dogs and cats sake, and others. Dr. Joseph J. Wakshlag, vet nutritionist at Cornell says the AAFCO, the Association of American Feed Control Officials, requires no testing by pet food manufacturers. It is up to the consumer to get answers before buying their pet food.
