02 May Texas DP Heads To Utah For Golf Channel
One of my favorite aspects of being a cameraman is traveling. Thanks to GTT I’ve managed to get closer and closer to visiting all 50 states. With my trip to Utah in the books, I only have nine states to go.
I was so excited to make the trip to Park City, UT for Golf Channel. I was shooting for the Feherty show again. This show is always a blast to work on. David Feherty is a hoot and the crew is always solid. This time around we setup for a long format interview with golf pro, Mark O’Meara.
The day started with an early morning drive to O’Meara’s house just outside Park City. We were shooting on the Sony F55. I love working with this camera. We set up for the interview in Mr. O’Meara’s living room. The living room was open and it had an excellent view of the mountains.
After the interview, the DP and one of the camera ops headed downstairs to shoot an additional scene with Feherty and O’Meara. I was sent outside to shoot scenics of the countryside. I also checked in on two GoPro time-lapses I had set up earlier.
Once shooting concluded we rushed to pack up and put Mr. O’Meara’s living room back in order. It was long before we officially wrapped. I made the drive back to Salt Lake City afterward and spent the night right by the airport due to an early morning flight. I always look forward to the next Golf Channel shoot. I love shooting for this client.
