I headed down to Austin, TX for E! News to cover the 2017 iHeartRadio Country Music Festival.  It seemed like we did an interview with just about every country music star known to man.  We interviewed Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, and even Chad Michael Murray.  I’m a huge One Tree Hill fan so I was pretty pumped to have Lucas Eugene Scott in my viewfinder.

We were backstage in the portrait room shooting interviews with various performers and presenters.  I was shooting on the Canon C300 Mark ii with the 24-105mm.  This was a very “run and gun” setup.  I had a camera light mounted to my camera to help combat the overhead lights that were in the room.  We weren’t allowed to use any wireless mics so my audio guy and I had to go completely hard-lined.  This wasn’t a huge issue because we were basically confined to the same room.

Before I knew it our night was over and we were dumping footage to a hard drive.  I drove home as the footage copied over.  A courier picked up the hard drive the next day.  I always have a blast shooting for E! News and this time was no different.
