GO TO TEAM COMMEMORATES ITS 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
BY GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Goodwill Employee

Go To Team recently celebrated ten years of successful business by donating $1,700 to Goodwill Industries. The contribution was the result of a month-long co-branded campaign, in which Go To Team donated $50 to the charity each time a client booked one of it’s crews for a video shoot.

“We were so excited to be recipients of Go To Team’s campaign and really appreciate the donation,” says Tina Marshall, the Vice President of Corporate Relations for Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina.

Go To Team’s clients were very supportive of the campaign to raise money for Goodwill. “We got a lot of feedback from customers saying it was a great idea and that they were happy to help give back to the community,” says Operations Manager Shawn Moffatt. “Go To Team has always supported the Charleston community by discounting work for organizations that promote tourism. To honor our ten years of continued success, we wanted to do something more. So we decided to contribute to an organization that helps others be successful.”

Dave Wilson of Inspired Hype, a marketing firm in Columbia, SC was one of the 34 clients to book shoots during the month-long promotion. “We love Go To Team’s commitment to helping the local community. We would have used Go To Team anyway, but knowing they think of others is really terrific”.

Go To Team Donates to GoodwillGo To Team chose Goodwill to partner with after a survey of their ten employees. “Many of us donate clothes and other items to the Goodwill, but not everyone knows that Goodwill is the largest employer of people with disabilities,” says Go To Team President Patrick Bryant. “We wanted to raise community awareness of the service Goodwill provides, and we thought our 10 year anniversary was a great time to do that.”

Marshall says Go To Team’s donation went towards the organization’s building fund that was recently established for the new Community Service Center that is to begin construction soon. Goodwill Industries’ goal is to raise approximately $2.5 million for the building fund and Marshall says they are working on a couple of fundraising strategies to meet that goal. “All donations are appreciated, but it is ten times more exciting to receive unsolicited contributions,” says Marshall.

Goodwill’s mission is to help people with disabilities and other barriers to employment find jobs that will help them become self-sufficient. In addition to people with disabilities, the organization has helped welfare recipients, community and veteran homeless, displaced workers and others in need through its programs and Job Link Centers.

Go To Team’s camera crews and producers have served national clients such as A and E, TLC, VH1 “Behind the Music”, NBC News, ABC’s 20/20, Wachovia, NASCAR, Fox Sports, and UPS. Go To Team provides video production services throughout the Carolinas, with offices in Charleston, SC; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; and Raleigh, NC.
