About Chris:

  • What cameras and equipment have you worked with the mos

The cameras I work with most within my kit are a Sony F5 and A7sii. I’m also extensively trained to use most all canon series cameras, and a long list of other cameras/brands that I could bore many clients with.

  • Do you specialize in a specific shoot style?

I enjoy shooting most all things I can get a lens in front of, but whenever I have the chance to cover a captivating documentary I find it especially exciting. Much of my early professional work throughout college though was filming short docs and promotional videos for adventure training and cave conservancy’s within the southeast US. Whenever I can get back to my roots on a shoot and be in the wilderness it’s always a pleasure.

  • How long have you been filming?

I have been shooting professionally for roughly 6 years now, but have had my hands on cameras and filmed/edited videos informally for well over a decade.

  • Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?

One of my favorite projects I’ve worked was a video I made for the Southeastern Caving Conservancy back in 2017. I Had the amazing opportunity to follow around Lin Guy, a caver of 50 years who had devoted much of his life to the conservation and repair of a cave located in Fort Payne, AL. The cave had been severely vandalized in the 80’s, and Lin frequented the cave for nearly a decade to glue damaged formations back together based off his memory of them. Because the cave had water running throughout it some of the formations that he pieced back together would be healed by the drip of water and have the cracks smoothened out, sending the formations back to their original undamaged look. I followed Lin over multiple trips in the cave and had an amazing time helping to tell his beautiful story.
