About Manny:
- What cameras and equipment have you worked with the most?
I’ve worked with Sony the most, but I started off using Canon cameras. I like Sony since they’re moving the full-frame world. I’ve used the Panasonic EVA, RED Raven, and Canon C line cameras. Sony just keeps me in with their performance. As far as lighting, I work with Nanlite the most. I’m familiar with the Arri SkyPanel, some Kino Flo’s, and Apture lights, but Nanlite and Litepanels are my main ecosystem.
- Do you specialize in a specific shoot style?
No, I’ve done various shoots from reality TV, live news, and interviews. I do have a favorite style of shoot which is documentary, I just love to be able to capture moments that we can look back at.
- How long have you been filming?
I have been working professionally for about 2 years now, I mainly did event coverage and live sports before being hired. I’ve been capturing moments from a young age, but it started with a cheap Panasonic VHS camcorder. The moment that sparked my interest in media as a career was in 5th grade, they began a media production class and I loved electronics and cameras.
- Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?
Yes, it was documenting a land art exhibition with an artist named Emmanuel Massillion. I got to interact with amazing people, capture some awesome dirt bike content, and connect with other creatives in Atlanta. I had some work get recognized and used in publications, I also enjoy working with UTA. They’re awesome to work with and have cool shoots.
