About Sam:
- What cameras and equipment have you worked with the most?
I have mainly shot on the Canon C300 with the A7SII as my second camera.
Sony’s cinema line is also exceptional and I have experience using the F5 and FS7. In terms of lighting, I like to use LED panels as my main lights and accent them with some small tungsten lights in my kit.
- Do you specialize in a specific shoot style?
I like to consider myself of jack-of-all trades but I particularly enjoy sports documentaries and features. As a former journalist and college athlete, I love how athletics can be used to draw an audience in and make them pay attention to an issue that they otherwise would not have cared about.
- How long have you been filming?
I first began shooting on a professional level about 6 years ago but I received my first video camera in middle school.
- Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?
I’ve been super lucky to work on a ton of cool projects since I began working for Go To Team. Its hard to choose just one but I really enjoyed working with HBO on an episode of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel. The episode focused on the changing demographics of youth tackle football and combined my love of journalism and sports.
